CLA Student Technology Fee

Matlab

The College of Liberal Arts Student Technology Fee makes Matlab available to CLA undergraduate and graduate students for use of the software on their personal computer. Only one copy per person is permitted. Faculty and staff may not access this software in this manner.

Students may download a CD image of one of the versions of the products to run on their Windows 2000/XP/Vista (32-bit or 64-bit) system, MacOS X (PowerPC-based or Intel-based) system, or their Linux (32-bit or 64-bit) system.

The license period is for one year and is renewable as long as you are still a student. The licensing year starts on July 1.

CLA undergraduate students, proceed to download page.

CLA graduate students, request access to download page by emailing techfees@umn.edu with your name, university internet ID (x.500), and your graduate program of enrollment.

Should you have trouble downloading the CD image of the software, you can stop by the CLA Office of Information Technology located in 110 Anderson Hall to pick up a CD. To save time, email techfees@umn.edu before hand to let us know when you will be by, what software you would like, and what platform you need.
